Professional Summary
Nicollette Mebust is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). She received her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology in 2023 and completed her pre-doctoral internship at the Kane County Diagnostic Center. She also received her Master’s in Counseling with a specialization in Forensic Psychology in 2016 from Adler University.
Nicollette strives to help her client feel safe and okay with being vulnerable within the therapeutic relationship. She uses humor and helps normalize the difficulties that many experience to help foster growth. She recognizes that not everyone is ready for change, but she will help you become ready to welcome that change into your life.
Nicollette has experience working with individuals diagnosed with autism, ADHD, depression, anxiety, substance use, self-esteem, personality disorders, behavioral issues, and psychotic disorders. She enjoys working with clients from all ages, including children, teens, and adults. She also has experience working with those within the criminal justice system and is passionate about forensic psychology.
Nicollette takes an integrative approach to her clients, as no two are alike. Her holistic approach to her clients involves CBT, DBT, person centered therapy, and a little humanistic existentialism. Nicollette is there every step of the way with her clients collaborating, encouraging, and helping them to achieve their goals.
