Professional Summary

Neelam Patel is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) and a National Certified Counselor (NCC). She received her Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling  at Roosevelt University Chicago and her Bachelors in Psychology at University of Illinois in Chicago.  Neelam enjoys working with children, adolescents and young adults with a variety of challenges including anxiety, depression, self injury, grief, stress management and family communication. Neelam has experience working at community mental health agencies as well as partial hospitalization/intensive outpatient programs. She also is bilingual and can speak English and Gujarati. 

Neelam provides her clients with tools to effectively manage their emotions and gain self awareness. She utilizes a person centered approach that includes  CBT, DBT, ACT and motivational interviewing. Neelam believes in working in partnership with clients, utilizing their strengths to help them sort out their challenges and achieve their goals.
