Professional Summary

 

Vanessa Martinez is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC). I graduated from Argosy University in 2010 with a Master's in Clinical Psychology.  

 

Vanessa started in the mental health field at a therapeutic day school working with kids from 5-14 years. She has many years of experience working with children and teens with diagnosed with autism (ASD), anxiety, depression, OCD, aggressive and self-injurious behaviors. Vanessa has worked as an ABA therapist for over 8 years providing 1:1 in home therapy.  She has always enjoyed working with children and teens and is looking forward to working with individuals of all ages.

Her focus in therapy is to empower and inspire individuals to make positive changes in their lives.  She takes an integrative approach to therapy. Vanessa uses a combination of Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Acceptance Commitment Therapy and holistic approach.  She believes in focusing on the whole person (mind, body and spirit).  She also believes that people have the power to heal themselves.  With the right guidance and tools, anything is possible.
