Professional Summary

Emily Smedlund as a young child always had a passion for behavior and learning. She spent much of her time as a child outside and playing and training animals. As an adult she has spent the past 15 years in the field of ABA.  She began her work as a direct therapist serving primarily the lowest income neighborhoods in Milwaukee. 

Her passion for her work in ABA grew from the bonds she made with the children and families she served.  She eventually grew in her role to independent teaching plan writing and team management and later became a BCBA after graduating with her Masters in Science from the University of Milwaukee.  She has continued her service to children with ASD working in the settings of in-home ABA and residential centers with clients ranging in ages from toddlers to adults.  She is excited to continue to serve the families in her local community.
