Population & Treatments
Addy Stoll is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Barrington, IL. She values the strengths of her clients, and works to build a strong therapeutic foundation based off of trust and collaboration, always keeping her clients at the center of her practice.
Addy specializes in eating disorders, self-harm, mood disorders, anxiety, and identity development. Her patient and warm, but straight forward style often results in change in those who may come to therapy feeling resistant, guarded, or defeated. She views sessions as a space where clients are able to build confidence but also feel challenged to meet goals. Addy specializes in working with LGBTQ+ individuals, including those who identify as Transgender.
Just as no clients are identical, Addy believes that no sessions or treatment plans should be identical. She often incorporates art and art therapy exercises into her sessions, which often results in clients finding confidence and hope by expressing themselves through the chosen art medium. However, she also uses a variety of tools and interventions, often based off of unique client strengths and interests, including traditional talk therapy, play, sand tray, and music. She
maintains flexibility within the therapeutic setting in order to help clients achieve balance within their lives.
