Elizabeth Alvarez graduated from NIU with an M.A. in Communication Disorders in 2003. She was a speech pathologist in the school system for eight years from 2003-2011, covering preschool through junior high school. Elizabeth worked with children with a variety of challenges including various language disorders and delays, childhood apraxia of speech, phonological disorder, and fluency issues. She worked with children with autism, collaborating with teachers, and support staff. Thematic classroom language lessons done weekly. Elizabeth loves working with the pediatric population and transitioned to Early Intervention f/t in 2011 to the present. She utilizes floor time, child-led, and adult-led activities.
