Nicole Johnson Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of IL. She received her Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from DePaul University.

Nicole has always been drawn to working with and empowering others, which ultimately lead her to become a Mental Health Counselor. She has worked in a variety of mental health settings, including inpatient and partial hospitalization, university campuses, and out-patient programs. She has significant clinical experience helping clients with concerns including anxiety, anger management, depression, grief & loss, family dynamics, identity development, self-esteem, social anxiety, and stress management across the lifespan, particularly with children, adolescents, and young adults.

Nicole’s approach to counseling embraces her belief in human resiliency and that we all have the power to overcome challenges and become stronger in the process. She takes an eclectic approach within her treatment, as she believes no two clients are alike, drawing from her knowledge of CBT, DBT, Person-
Centered, and Existential modalities, and occasionally incorporating Art and Play therapies when appropriate. Nicole’s goal is to create a positive and open space for her client’s to freely express themselves and build on their existing strengths to further their individual growth and success. She truly believes in the power of therapy and is passionate about the well-being and success of her clients.
