Professional Summary

Autumn has 8 years of experience working with children, adolescents, and young adults struggling with depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, suicidal ideation and self-harm, anger/aggression, trauma, school failure, ADHD, life transitions, relationship challenges, and family conflicts. She has worked in a wide range of therapeutic settings including outpatient, private practice, school-based, and community mental health-based settings.

Autumn’s style is warm, authentic, and supportive. For her, the therapeutic relationship is important. She not only wants you to feel comfortable but also to trust her, as therapy requires vulnerability. She assists individuals in developing the tools to manage their difficulties and achieve their goals by taking a client-centered approach. This means Autumn begins where you are at and views you as the experts on your life, culture, religion, etc. It also means that she allows her clients to determine the direction and depth of therapy.

She works collaboratively with her clients to identify their needs and overcome their difficulties. Autumn occasionally looks to incorporate parents, teachers, and other important systems in the client’s life in treatment to improve the client’s overall functioning. She individualizes treatment based on the client’s presenting problems, needs, and goals. Autumn uses multiple evidence-based practices including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Mindfulness, Positive Behavioral Interventions, Solution Focused Therapy, and Play Therapy.
