Alexandra Terry is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). She graduated with her Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from National Louis University in 2021.
Alexandra has experience working with individuals who struggle with anxiety, depression, trauma, substance use, domestic violence, low self-esteem, personality disorders, and daily life stressors. She has worked in juvenile corrections, community mental health, and inpatient settings, with experience in
individual therapy, group therapy, and crisis intervention. She has experience with adolescents and adults, but is open to working with clients from all ages.
Alexandra believes in building a collaborative therapeutic relationship characteristic of empathy, authenticity, and genuineness. She offers a calming presence and values a non-judgmental atmosphere, where clients can feel safe to disclose. She utilizes an integrative approach to therapy, with the goal of recognizing and honoring each client’s unique needs. Her approach incorporates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing, and Person-Centered Therapy. In addition, she takes a holistic approach that incorporates the mind, body, and spirit connection. Alexandra is committed to helping clients gain deeper insight into their lives in order to promote empowerment and personal growth.
